Clover Place Condos Uses TandoStone® to Add Realism of Stone While Saving Time and Money

Quebec City, Quebec – Located in Florida's vibrant Tampa Bay area, Clover Place Condos recently underwent a facelift installed by Suncoast Windows & Siding. The installation team, led by Suncoast owner John Franks, revitalized Clover Place’s 120 condo units with TandoStone, an innovative composite stone cladding from Tando Composites.

While each unit at Clover Place is individually owned, the Homeowners Association (HOA) for Clover Place was looking to improve the appearance of the exterior lower portion of the buildings, according to Franks. “The HOA members loved the authentic stone look and feel of TandoStone when we showed them samples. They also liked the time, labor, and cost savings that TandoStone provided,” said Franks. Ultimately, the HOA member selected TandoStone’s Stacked Stone profile in three colors.

The Suncoast team was able to complete the TandoStone installation quickly and easily without mortar, adhesives, or skilled masonry sub-contractors. “We used it for knee walls which were 30 - 36 inches high,” said Franks. “We completed the knee walls in November 2023 – five full months ahead of schedule. We were able to sail through two to three units a week – which was just incredible.” He noted the composite stone is installed in panels with regular siding tools and no need for wet saws or rain screens – and there were never any delays due to weather.

“We were trained by TandoStone reps, and found it installs very similar to the siding my crews are used to installing – same tools and all. Compared to painted concrete veneers and clip systems, TandoStone offers a huge savings on time and labor,” Franks added.

Recommended to Suncoast by Lansing Building Products, TandoStone easily met the aesthetic and performance expectations set by the HOA. Rick Smith, outside sales representative for Lansing, emphasized TandoStone's realism, durability, and easy installation. “We are finding composite stone to be the preferred choice for siding installers for foundation knee walls, accent areas, or roofline applications,” he said. “Products that are impervious to moisture and perform well in diverse climates is most critical in ground-level and roofline areas.”

Franks noted that while the HOA loved TandoStone for its realistic appearance, they also appreciated the significant time and money savings realized with the project moving to completion months ahead of schedule. “From addressing the ongoing skilled labor shortage to mitigating job site costs, TandoStone stands out for both aesthetics and efficiency.”

The success of TandoStone at Clover Place Condos exemplifies its ability to meet the demands of any exterior job for builders, exterior contractors, HOA managers, and homeowners. Learn more at http://www.tandocomposites.com.
